A paper summarising my progress so far is now forthcoming in Literary and Linguistics Computing. 

In this paper, I compare papyrologists to detectives, and set out to find some of the mechanisms that trigger the jumps between the reading levels, where the reading levels are those identified by Melissa in her work on the document interpretation process (expanding on our Ontology subject). The paper also gives an overview of how our image processing algorithms are designed to imitate real-world tasks (expanding on our Image processing subject).
